Done It Again Christopher Kane

The Christoper Kane AW '09 collection for Topshop has finally been revealed! And it is possibly one of the greatest designer-turned-high street collections my eyes have ever witnessed. My jaw proceeded to drop an inch further with every page I turned of his marvellous look book.

Due in-store and on-line on 18th September I can predict that this will be another sell out collection for Topshop, I'm already sharpening my elbows in preparation for the stampeding madness that will no doubt ensue!

Feast for yourselves on the wonderful workings of Christopher Kane:

Bad at Blogging

Photobucket
(Co. of Matt Irwin for Dazed and Confused)

I have been AWOL for many months now due to being crazy busy, but I am back and ready to take on the blogging world with gusto!

Some updates:
  • I am officially starting University in a few weeks as an International Fashion Marketing student!
  • Hopefully before Christmas, I may be lucky enough to get my hands on an adorable shop space in Liverpool City Centre where I'll be able to sell all my lovely vintage treats! I'm super excited :)
  • I am no longer a single lady, a bearded boy now occupates most of my shopping time.
  • I have lots and lots of goodies/ideas/inspirational fashion pieces to share with you all!
  • I have over 50 followers! My blog seems to have flourished whilst I've been away, I'm massively flattered!
Okay not so much of an update really, more of a revival post to let the Blog'o'sphere know that I'm back in action. I'm hoping to provide more updates on news in the world of beauty and I'll more than likely start uploading daily outfits etc.

Hope everyone is dandy!

'I don't wash my pants...I like to keep the night on them'

I've just finished watching Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist for the umpteenth time. Possibly the cutest film ever? I absoultely adore Kat Dennings and Michael Cera together! Once upon a drunken time a rather tipsy stranger remarked that I looked like a cross between Anne Hathaway and Kat Dennings. It was actually the nicest compliment I've ever received, I think they're both incredibly beautiful. I would literally kill for Kat Denning's lips!

'Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination' - Oscar Wilde

I did it, I bought that bloody Barbara Hulanicki dress from eBay. I couldn't resist after seeing Alexa's svelte pins in it! My bank balance is now a bit worse for wear but whatever, I'm just living my life by the guidelines of Oscar Wilde (see title).

The weather was beaut this morning so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to wear the dress but half an hour later it decided to pour down and I was stranded in the middle of Liverpool with no umbrella or coat in a partially see through dress. Unfortunate times.

I did, however, pick up a few magazines...most notably the latest Nylon and Love magazine. I'll upload some scans as soon as I can figure out how to work my scanner...I am technologically redundant though so this could take some time!

Me and My Barbour

No longer reserved solely for the Queen or the residents of Emmerdale, Barbour is now a staple wardrobe piece for the young and fashionable lot. I love my Barbour coat to pieces, I almost wish it rained everyday just so that I could have an excuse to wear it! With that said, I was super stoked to find this old school picture of Alexa Chung wearing the very same Barbour coat that I have. She of course looks like a total goddess in it compared to me.

Normally a Barbour retails for around £180, but if that's out of your price range it's worth checking local charity shops/vintage fairs/car boot sales etc. My friend picked one up last week for £8! My best advice however would be to buy a child's version of the jacket you're after. I paid £50 for an XXL (age 12-14) children's version of the exact jacket that Alexa's sporting. I'm a UK size 8 and the jacket's still a bit loose on me...just how big are these kids???

That time of year again...

I'm going on holiday in about 6 weeks time but I'm seriously stumped when it comes to bikini shopping. I want something that stands out i.e. something along the line of Marc by Marc Jacobs!

Obviously these are way out of my price range, but I think that I may go down the Michael Kors route and try and find a 40s/50s inspired swimsuit.

Anyone have any recommendations for places/websites where I can find vintage inspired swimsuits? (Ideally under £50 please!)
