'I don't wash my pants...I like to keep the night on them'

I've just finished watching Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist for the umpteenth time. Possibly the cutest film ever? I absoultely adore Kat Dennings and Michael Cera together! Once upon a drunken time a rather tipsy stranger remarked that I looked like a cross between Anne Hathaway and Kat Dennings. It was actually the nicest compliment I've ever received, I think they're both incredibly beautiful. I would literally kill for Kat Denning's lips!

'Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination' - Oscar Wilde

I did it, I bought that bloody Barbara Hulanicki dress from eBay. I couldn't resist after seeing Alexa's svelte pins in it! My bank balance is now a bit worse for wear but whatever, I'm just living my life by the guidelines of Oscar Wilde (see title).

The weather was beaut this morning so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to wear the dress but half an hour later it decided to pour down and I was stranded in the middle of Liverpool with no umbrella or coat in a partially see through dress. Unfortunate times.

I did, however, pick up a few magazines...most notably the latest Nylon and Love magazine. I'll upload some scans as soon as I can figure out how to work my scanner...I am technologically redundant though so this could take some time!

Me and My Barbour

No longer reserved solely for the Queen or the residents of Emmerdale, Barbour is now a staple wardrobe piece for the young and fashionable lot. I love my Barbour coat to pieces, I almost wish it rained everyday just so that I could have an excuse to wear it! With that said, I was super stoked to find this old school picture of Alexa Chung wearing the very same Barbour coat that I have. She of course looks like a total goddess in it compared to me.

Normally a Barbour retails for around £180, but if that's out of your price range it's worth checking local charity shops/vintage fairs/car boot sales etc. My friend picked one up last week for £8! My best advice however would be to buy a child's version of the jacket you're after. I paid £50 for an XXL (age 12-14) children's version of the exact jacket that Alexa's sporting. I'm a UK size 8 and the jacket's still a bit loose on me...just how big are these kids???

That time of year again...

I'm going on holiday in about 6 weeks time but I'm seriously stumped when it comes to bikini shopping. I want something that stands out i.e. something along the line of Marc by Marc Jacobs!

Obviously these are way out of my price range, but I think that I may go down the Michael Kors route and try and find a 40s/50s inspired swimsuit.

Anyone have any recommendations for places/websites where I can find vintage inspired swimsuits? (Ideally under £50 please!)

The Mega Fox

I'm straight, but after watching Transformers 2 last night I think I might be a little bit in love with Megan Fox....

Lady Bug

Introducing my face...

Photobucket

I thought I'd give the red lip thing another go so I decided to mix Lady Danger and So Chaud by MAC together (both sort of orangey based reds). Still not sure if I like it. I went out earlier tonight with it on and within a couple of hours it basically started to slowly melt down my face which resulted in me sporting a not so fetching red beard! (Please ignore my terrible face by the way, I'd taken my false eyelashes off which is why I look like a bit bug eyed).

Such A Stud

Also, I now have 21 followers? Gosh, pretty grateful about that :)

A Recommendation.

Jill at Street Style London recently posted about my little piece on Mary Benson, so in return I thought I'd give her blog some worthy attention. I'm actually really pleased that she found me, as her blog takes a really fresh and interesting look at the world of fashion, with some great added street style images thrown in . She appears to inject much of her own personality into her posts and the subject of her posts (although relevant) do not take the copycat route of many other bloggers i.e. endless pictures of London 'it' girls (something which I'm heavily guilty of!). I really like the layout of her blog as well. Anyway I'll stop rambling on now, check her out for yourself here.

Aint Nothin' But A Ring Thang

These blog titles are getting weirder and weirder.....

Anywhoo, I bought this vintage ring from eBay last night.

Photobucket

Not bad for a fiver?

And is it wrong for me to want this mustard yellow, quilted Barbour jacket? I know it looks like something right out of Emmerdale but I saw a girl in Brighton wearing one (a dead ringer for Agyness Deyn, just with black hair) and she'd paired it with sky high heels and her teeny tiny twig legs were dressed in those black wet look AA leggings. She looked amazing.

Definitely too early to be contemplating jacket purchases anyway I guess.

That is not my hand by the way...

All Caught Up And Love Struck

Just spotted these two jumpsuits on ASOS and I've completely fallen in love with them! I'm not usually one for wearing bright graphic prints but the fabric and the fact that they're jumpsuits has completely swayed me. I can't wait till payday now (that's if they'll still be in stock??).
